Blank Game Boards

Every year, no matter what grade level I am teaching, I end the year with the students making a game they can play at school and then take it home to play with their family.  And every year it seems I am scrambling to put the materials together for the students.  I have found the younger students really need something concrete they can use.  I came up with these pre-made template.  I made templates without spinners, with different types of spinners and with places for cards.  I have all the templates in a binder in clear plastic protectors and I get the students to pick which template they want the day before we do the activity so I can have the templates ready for the kids.  I also have pre-made squares with various game standards such as “Miss a turn” and Go back 2 spaces” the kids can cut out and glue on the squares they want.  There are also blank squares they can print on to customize their game.  I also give the students a template to help with the writing of their directions of the game.

They are available in my TpT store and TeachersNotebook store.  Enjoy!

  1. Hey, we loved your game board template. We used it for a school project and named you as the source. We hope that's okay...

Thank you for posting it; we really loved it :)

    1. Hi,
sorry for the late reply...the last few months of school was so busy. I'm just getting back into the groove now with summer. Thank you so much for purchasing the game board templates. I'm so glad you loved them! I use them every year at the end of the school year and my students love making their own game and then getting to play them. They played them with their Grade 6 bookbuddies and were so proud of them!
