The Premier of Nova Scotia has proclaimed the second Thursday of September as Stand Up Against Bullying Day in all public schools across Nova Scotia. Stand Up Against Bullying Day encourages all schools to focus on healthy relationships and building stronger communities, while continuing to build respect, communication and healthy conflict resolution skills, while reducing (and one would hope eliminating) incidents of bullying and cyberbulling.

My school, Grosvenor Wentworth Park School is planning a very special assembly with a very special guest...Travis Price. If you don't know who Travis Price is, please click on the links below to read more about him and his story.
I am so excited for tomorrow and for my students. I have made a pink t-shirt for tomorrow. I have done my nails with the Sally Hansen Nail Polish strips in pink glitter and I have pink hair chalk ready to go to streak my hair in the morning. Here is a picture of my shirt for tomorrow and my nails!!
Of course I had to add Hello Kitty. I found a Hello Kitty giving the peace symbol so I thought that would be appropriate. I am making all my students little stickers of the Bullying Stops Here for them to wear tomorrow. I will update how the assembly went tomorrow!
Enjoy!
Kemble :-)
