Planning Calendars

UPDATE on Calendars: I noticed when I tried to download the calendars for someone else that some of the dates turned into a lot of numbers.  Not sure what is happening so I have added all the calendars in PDF which you can find below. Well, I have been in my new school all week setting up my classroom (pictures to come) but I thought I would share my blank planning calendar for teachers that are in the HRSB that I make every year to help with my planning.   I have a few different planning calendars you can choose from: Planning Calendar with  Bus Cluster 1 PD Planning Calendar with  Bus Cluster 2 PD Planning Calendar with  Bus Cluster 3 PD Planning Calendar with 2nd year Mount Education Student Teacher dates Calendars in PDF Planning Calendar with Bus Cluster 1 PD Planning Calendar with Bus Cluster 2 PD Planning Calendar with Bus Cluster 3 PD Planning Calendar with 2nd year Mount Education Student Teacher Dates I look forward to posting my pictures of my new cl

NS Math Lesson Assessment Sheets

Image
Most elementary teachers (at least Primary or Kindergarten to Grade 2) group their students in tables.  I realized that I was moving table from table with my list of students and was always wasting a little more time trying to find the student on my math lesson assessment sheet.  So last year I decided to try something new and put my math lesson assessment sheets with groups of tables just like a seating chart.  I LOVED it!!!  It was so much easier to find the student I was observing because they were grouped in the table and I could find that table very easily on my sheet.  I tried to group the sheets in the units that were suggested for the yearly plan and I did end up binding them but I realized that as I received new students and my seating arrangement changed I just needed single sheets that I could attach to the lesson plan and then put that sheet in an assessment binder.  Here are a few screen shots of what the sheet could look like if you had 15 students with 3 students at eac

Some additions to my Whole Brain Teaching Polka Dot Circle Posters

Image
I actually do love when other teachers e-mail me and ask me to add some more to my products because sometimes I make something and then move on from it when there can be additions to it....fresh eyes are always needed.  I received an e-mail asking if I could add to my Whole Brain Teaching Polka Dot Circle Posters with this "Be safe, be kind, be honest."  So I did add this to the posters.  I use the word expectation but others do use the word rule so I made posters with both on them.  You can find them in my TPT store at: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Whole-Brain-Teaching-Polka-Dot-Circle-Posters-Additions-FREEBIE-1357763 Enjoy! French Immersion Word Wall Package

Image
As of August 1, 2014 I will be at a new school along with 3 other teachers from my old school.  One of the teachers who is moving with me was the teacher who was next door to me at my old school and who teaches French Immersion and who would always ask me to create things for her.  So, I told her how I was jazzing up my word wall and she asked me if I could create something for her French Immersion classroom.  So I took the word lists she gave me and created this package.  I hope this jazzes up your classroom along with helping your students learn new words.  Package Includes the following in 2 different designs: Design 1: - Subject pronoun cards in the following sizes (cm):   - 3.96x6.32 and 3.69x8.03   - 6.01x6.87 and 7.45x8.74   - 7.41x8.43 and 7.43x12.26 - 524 mots fréquents en français (7.43x16.8) (I created additional cards for the longer words that are 7.6x17.4 and for some of the phrases I created cards that are longer in length which are 11.6x17.4) - Upp

Word Wall Dilemma

Image
So for the past few days I have been working on making a new word wall for my new classroom.  The problem is that I love making the backgrounds so I have so many to choose from that I'm not sure which one I am going to pick (I do feel I am leaning towards the pastel polka dots).  Here is a look at what I have created.  Here is the pastel word wall package that I'm leaning towards as I like how bright it is. Once I decide what background I want for my classroom, I then need to decide which circle or rectangle I want for my headers and then I can print out the words that match it.   I have put both of these word wall themes in my TPT store which you can find at the following links: PinkGrayWhite Dot theme at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/PinkGrayWhiteDots-Word-Wall-Package-Pre-Primer-to-Grade-3-Dolch-Words-1323555 and the Pastel Dot theme at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/P
