Spot It Game (31 cards and 57 cards)

Image
My students love the Spot It Game and with the COVID19 online learning, I realized I needed to create a few games students could play with each other over their Chromebooks.   I have created Spot It games with 31 cards and 57 cards.   There are 3 one player games and 3 two player games each with the 31 cards and 57 cards.   I hope your students enjoy looking for the match.   You can find this activity in my TPT store at the following link: Spot It Games Enjoy!

Ordinal Math Games

We finished ordinals in my class a few weeks ago and the kids loved playing these games.  I paired up my students and they had to pick a game board and each pair received 2 dice - one die had ordinal numbers on the sides (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th) and the other die had colours on each side.  I purchased blank dice through our school's book bureau that came with stickers so I was able to print the ordinals on some and colour in the stickers on the some of the other dice.  Taking turns, each player rolled the dice and covered what they could.  For example, if one pair had the game board below and Player 1 rolled a 2nd on one die and orange on the other, Player 1 would be able to cover their 2nd orange rabbit.  The first player to cover all their rabbits wins.  This game can take a little bit as the students start to realize that sometimes the ordinal comes up but not the colour they need and sometimes the colour comes up but not the ordinal they need. The students can a

Earth Day Games

I find I skim over Earth day and this past year I finally got frustrated with myself and sat down and designed a few games for the kids so that by playing all the games, my students would really learn about reduce, reuse, and recycle.  At our school we have different bins for recycling but the kids seem to have some confusion what goes where.  I found after my students played these games for about 2 weeks, they really knew what things were recyclable and what items they could reuse again.  And I found the kids asking each other instead of me and that was just awesome to see!!!  I did save the games for Earth Day but I think this year I will get the kids to play it at the beginning of the year(because shouldn't every day be Earth Day?) so it will help them learn about recycling and in turn help recycle properly at our school.   So this package includes 4 different Earth Day games the students can play during centre time or just on their own after learning about Earth
