I have created number sense slides with monthly themes.   The student looks at the number in the corner and puts down that many objects into the picture background. They are very simple slides for your students to complete. Well, another school year has come and gone and summer is upon us!  I try to relax and enjoy the summer but I do take this time to update some of my TPT products.   One product I have been working on updating is my plant jouranl.  Here is the link to the explanation of my paper copy plant journal https://primaryflynn.blogspot.com/2012/08/plant-journal.html I have decided to update my plant journal for Google Apps specifically Google Slides.   Every year I notice my primaries are getting better at using the Samsung tablets and Chromebooks so I believe they are reading to do more projects on the Chromebooks.  You can find this package in my TPT store at the following link: Google Slides Plant Journal There is also a video explanation of the journal. My students love puzzles so I created these various puzzles to challenge them but also to help my students get used to using the Chromebooks.  I assigned a few puzzles first with the bookbuddies so the older students could help show the younger students how to use the mouse pad and/or the keyboard arrows.  Once my students got used to the puzzles, I assigned more puzzles individually through Google Classroom. My students love spelling on the magnetic white board with the foam letters.  They know that the blue letters are consonants and the red letters are vowels and the purple “y” can be a consonant or a vowel.  I wanted to create a book buddy spelling activity on the Chromebooks that used letters that looked like our magnetic letters the kids use.  You can find this activity in my TPT store at the following link: Let's Spell: Building Words with Letters Enjoy! I used to dread doing the How to Sequencing writing unit.  It just seemed really hard for the students to grasp.  This year I decided to really focus on creating booklets that would help my students.  I know it’s good for students to draw the pictures but I decided to put the pictures in for them so they could focus on the writing.  And I also did the unit later in the year when my students had more writing experience.  So I came up with these booklets and this was the first time I enjoyed the unit and my students looked forward to the writing that day.  You can find this activity in my TPT store at the following link: How To Sequencing Booklets Enjoy!
