Whole Brain Teaching

I'm working on a few things such as my sub binder and I was writing my little blurb about the systems I use in my classroom and that reminded me I needed to change one of my posters for that system which is Whole Brain Teaching.  I came across Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) last summer and I really liked it.  I picked a few things out of WBT to really master this past year and I will be adding on this year.  If you have not heard about WBT, please visit their site which has loads of information.  Check out the site at http://www.wholebrainteaching.com/.

I love the rules because they are really simple and there are only 5; however, I do not like the word "rules".  A principal I had a few years back did not like the word either and she always said the rules were really expectations...students were expected to do them.  So I am making my new posters with WBT "rules" on them with the title of expectation instead of rules.  I thought I would share them.  Here are pictures of the expectations:

Enjoy!

PS - I should add that I changed some of the rules/expectations to match my schools rules/expectations.  WBT rules are:
1 - Follow directions quickly.
2 - Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3 - Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
4 - Make smart choices.
5 - Keep your dear teacher happy.

UPDATE:
PPS - I have now uploaded these into my TPT store and TeachersNotebook shop.  I have added the WBT rules too.  To go to my TPT store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Whole-Brain-Teaching-Expectations-FREEBIE-794097

Enjoy!
